Bras for Men: Can men wear bras too?

It is a valid and an interesting question. When we talk about bras the first thing we think of is that they are for women, but even men can wear bras. The only difference is that men don’t wear bras to look sexy; it is more of a comfort choice.

There is a medical condition called “Gynecomastia”, due to which men develop what is famously referred to as “man boobs”. This can happen during puberty when the male breast tissue enlarges or the reasons can also be weight gain or age.

If you are going through something like this, don’t worry, this condition is not uncommon and is often temporary. Do not be embarrassed about it and please do not hate your body for it. This is not due to some “problem” in your body; it is just that some people go through.

Of course, there are solutions to this and one of them is bras for men. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Bras can be worn by men as a way to support, shape or flatten their breasts.

Bras for men are mostly for self-image purpose but many men who have been interviewed regarding this have said that they wear bras mainly for support.

Men wearing bras should not be seen as something to be ashamed of or “forbidden”. The main purpose of bras is to support the chest of the person and that is what men should look at it too.
